How it works

You talk. It writes the notes.

The setup guide asks about the business the way a new hire would. You answer in your own words. Those answers become the knowledge base. You can edit every line.

1. Create the account

Company name, email, a password, and a plan. Nothing is charged on that screen. Chat is charged when you start that plan. A voice plan is charged when you turn the line on.

2. Walk through the guide

Ten questions: what you do, the voice, hours, place, common questions, prices, what never to promise, when to take a message, who to notify, and first-day notes. Skip one if you do not know it yet.

Weekly hours, holidays, vacation, and a day you have to close are entered as dates on the Hours page. A close earlier than the open stays open until that time the next day. A holiday, vacation, or day off closes that whole date, including the morning after an overnight shift. The attendant uses those dates. A sentence in the guide does not override a day you marked closed.

3. Add literature

Upload a menu, a brochure, a price sheet, or a plain text file. Text and many PDFs are read into the notes. A photo of a menu is stored with the account so you can type the prices in.

4. Ask for a number

Request a new local number by area code, or save a port of the number you already publish. The request sits on the account. Save a card when you are ready. The card is not charged until you turn a new number on. A port request does not buy a number and does not move your calls.

5. Put chat on the site

Copy one script tag. The widget answers from the knowledge base and says when the notes do not cover the question.
